Trans Meditation

Trans Meditation has been in vogue for time immemorial. It was the process of connecting to God. It was practiced by spiritualists to seek peace of mind, energize themselves, and to transform their thinking into the thinking of God. It was like reaching out to God, being present before Him and conversing with Him. It is still practiced by spiritualists of all religions and sects in their own distinct ways.

The Trans Meditation is based on the premise that you cannot reach God while thinking of worldly things and happenings around you. You need to be cut off from your surroundings for some time. You clean-up your mind and put it in a vacuum by ignoring what comes to your mind. You go into a trance-like condition without being sleepy. Once you get there, you feel complete isolation from the world. You feel at peace. You relax your mind. You relax your body. You inhale energy. You feel fresh. You feel unburdened. At that very moment, you talk to God without uttering a word. It is like speaking to God from heart. Thoughts will stream into your trance. You will pick the ones that you want to talk to God for seeking His blessings for positive thoughts and seeking His help to get rid of negative thoughts.

The Trans Meditation is easy to practice. You do it when you are alert, normal, untired. You sit on the floor in the corner of a room with no lights from outside or inside. It may not be complete darkness; but bright light that might distract you needs to be avoided. You wear casual dress to make you comfortable, no tightness or discomfort. You fold your legs inside and sit slightly bent. You pull your head a bit down. You close your eyes. You focus on emptiness. You dont focus on thoughts coming into your conscious mind. You wait till all thoughts stop coming and you are completely focused on emptiness. The emptiness may be darkness or blue sky. The transition from the condition of awareness to the condition of emptiness is slow, peaceful, effortless. You feel like being in a trance; you don't go into sleep. It will be alright if you fall asleep. It does happen to people in the beginning of their trans meditation exercise. You can try trans meditation next day.

Once you reach the state of emptiness, thoughts will slowly enter your conscious mind. You scan them and pick those which you want to focus on and ask God for His guidance and help. You take up one thought at a time and talk to God without moving your tongue and lips. You pray to God and tell him what you want from Him.It is better to keep your trans meditation short in the beginning by taking one issue and focusing on it in your conversation with God. As time passes and you become better tuned to trans meditation, you can increase the time and the number of issues.Remember one thing. The entire trans meditation process is natural, effortless and relaxed.

CAUTION: Trans Meditation may be hazardous for those suffering from severe psychological or psychiatric illnesses or brain functional disorders. Professional supervision may also be required for trans meditation exercises for normal persons.
